My focus is on drawing, coloring, painting, self-expression, and exploring different media. Each piece of art made at Fancy Pencils carries a distinctive touch, encouraging kids to unleash their imagination. The small class size ensures that Jasmin can give individual attention to each student, giving every child’s artwork the direct guidance and support a personal masterpiece deserves.
Meet the Owner - Mrs. Jasmin
Mrs. Jasmin, the owner of Fancy Pencils, is a self-taught artist whose creative journey began in 2013 when she discovered her natural talent for painting. Working primarily with acrylics on canvas, she developed a distinctive style and began selling her unique artwork, quickly building a following for her expressive and original pieces. In 2016, almost overnight, she felt inspired to transform her personal art studio into a children’s art studio—an unexpected decision that led her to discover an overwhelming sense of fulfillment in teaching art to kids. Since then, Mrs. Jasmin has found true joy in guiding young artists, watching their confidence grow, and using her own artistic talent to spark creativity and imagination in every student she teaches. To this day, she continues to love her work deeply, cherishing the connections she builds with her students and the creative energy that fills the studio each day.
As an artist, Mrs. Jasmin actively engages in drawing, painting, exploring, and creating alongside her students. She dedicates herself to cultivating the inner artist in all her students through private art lessons, online art, art classes and camps, including supplemental homeschool lessons. Her commitment is to spark and enhance the creative spirit in everyone. Teaching art to children is more complex than placing a few sheets of paper and a tub of crayons on the table. It involves a solid understanding of materials and age-appropriate skill levels plus the knowledge of the art techniques that meet little artists where they’re at so they're excited to experiment and explore.
